Instant Pot Greek Yogurt


Ingredients

2 TBSP Greek Yogurt

1/2 Gallon Milk

Steps:

  1. Pour milk into the Instant Pot. 1/2 Gallon

  2. Click the "Sautee" Button and the screen should read Boil

  3. Heat the milk until it reaches 180 Degrees.

  4. Take the Pot out of the Instant pot so the milk can cool to 115 Degrees. This will take about 30 minutes depending on temperature of the room. Don't let it drop too low otherwise you need to start again and re-heat it.

  5. After the milk reaches 115 degrees, add the 2 TBSP of Greek Yogurt and stir it into the milk.

  6. Put the pot back into the instant pot and set it to the Yogurt setting for 8 hours. Seal it but remove the seal from the lid so other flavors don't go in the yogurt.

  7. After 8 hours, the yogurt should be set. Pour the yogurt out of the pot into the Yogurt strainer and refrigerate. Let it drain until it is desired thickness.

  8. Once it reaches desired thickness, pour into a Tupperware and eat within 1.5 weeks.
